Manol Paskalev is a classical pianist, composer and private piano teacher. As a composer, he is known for his distinctive harmonic language, which blends clarity with complexity. His works often feature virtuosic writing, demanding both technical precision and expressive depth from performers.
While many of his pieces are characterized by their energy and brilliance, others take on a more introspective tone—designed as meditations built on equal or closely related patterns, inviting the listener into a space of subtle transformation and contemplation.
Manol Paskalev - String Quartet No. 1, 1st. & 2nd. Movements
Written in 2009, this quartet showcases the inventive mind of a young man. At the time, Manol Paskalev was delving deep into Hindemith's Ludus Tonalis, Prokofiev's piano concertos and Béla Bartók's Little Suite for piano. We present the first two movements (Allegretto & Scherzo) of String Quartet No. 1, in four contrasting movements.
